This ordinance needed to be focused and fine-tuned to be able to make the parcel more marketable. Jonathan Brateman worked closely with the Planning Department and the City Council to rewrite the ordinance to keep its original spirit, and at the same time allow for development. Jonathan Brateman worked out a compromise to meet the needs of both the property owner and the city. As a result of the changes a developer bought the property, and today, the attractive Grand Oaks Centre complex is located on the property. Jonathan Brateman not only sold the land for the complex but completed the leasing of the building for the landlord as well. Currently, the complex is filled with professional uses and a restaurant which all provide quality services to the community.
